In addition to the usual open and age group category awards, we will be giving cash bonuses of $100, $50 and $25 to the top 3 males and females in the following age categories:
-Open -Masters (40-59) -Prime (60-79) -Superprime (80+)
*no duplication of cash awards (i.e. 40 year-old overall winner gets only one cash award) *************************************** Again, 2009 age group awards will be given to the top 3% in each age category (minimum of 3). No more getting shut out because you ran in an ultra-competitive category!!! Unlike most races, the Charlottesville Ten Miler ensures that awards depth is equitably reflected in ultra-competitive categories.

Just a quick word of thanks to the organizers/volunteers/supporters of the Charlottesville 10 Miler. This was my first time running the race, but it will not be the last. Everything was extremely well executed, from registration through Awards. It was great to have the town take an active part in supporting the race; water volunteers, bands, and general supporters. I look forward to many more C-ville 10 Milers in my future. -PM |
